Structural Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join our well established,
friendly Engineering Consultancy firm, based in Guernsey.
You will become a crucial member of this small team, enabling us to continue to grow within the local construction industry.
You will play a key part in helping us to manage and work on a wide range of building and civil engineering projects.
You will be Degree Qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering and have experience working in Engineering Consultancy.
Ideally you will be chartered with the IStructE or ICE, or if not have ambition to do so.
For the right candidate the position offers opportunity for progression to Director.
All levels of experience will be considered.
Key skills for this role include:
excellent communication skills to enable you to liaise effectively with clients, contractors and Architects,
and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
There will be a high level of autonomy and variety in the role.

Structural Technician
Job description:
An interesting and varied role for a Civil/Structural Engineering Technician.
The successful candidate will be involved in assisting the design team in the construction process and preparation of technical drawings.
Essential criteria:
Possess good communicate skills with clients, contractors, professionals and fellow work colleagues within an office environment.
Undertake visits to construction sites and problem solving.
Complete engineering surveys/monitoring.
Work with colleagues to solve engineering problems.
Produce Engineering drawings using AutoDesk software.
Desirable Criteria:
Hold a valid driving licence and have transport.
GCSE Maths and Science qualifications.
The applicant should hold, or be willing to undertake, a BTEC National Certificate in Building and
Construction at the Guernsey College of Further Education, or equivalent type qualification.
